Formica Group past, present and future at Vintage in London

Formica Group is delighted to announce its collaboration with Hemingway Design for Vintage at Southbank Centre, London. An iconic brand and the original creator of High Pressure Laminate (HPL), Formica Group is taking visitors on a journey showing the evolution of Formica® HPL with patterns, colours and bespoke designs from the past to present day.

In the Royal Festival Hall backdrops using  Formica® laminate will be used for the “Hair and Makeup stations” and show how the material continues to make a stunning visual impact – some chic styling to be had all around! Featuring patterns especially themed from the 1930s, 50s and 70s and two unique vintage looks by Hemingway Design, Formica® Bespoke will clad the stations. These provide a spot where visitors can get stylish looks for their hair and makeup.

 

 

Formica Group will also partner with British designer Lucy Turner, who has received national critical acclaim for her upcycled furniture ranges which Formica laminate is one of her favourite materials. Exciting and distinctive, Lucy utilises technologies and materials to turn old into new, with her unique and customised furniture pieces.

With over 95 years of innovation and manufacturing experience, Formica Group continue to collaborate with a whole range of designers, developing collections that offer exciting and relevant new designs, textures and materials for modern commercial environments, as well as for the home. Formica® Bespoke laminate allows the designer to encapsulate unique designs and images in HPL.
